Public Transportation
IIL’s Washington, D.C., office is conveniently located near two Metro stops: Metro Center on the Red, Orange, and Blue Lines. Federal Triangle on the Blue and Orange Lines. Click here for a Metro system map.

Walking from Metro Center:
Use the F & 12th St/Columbia Square exit when leaving the Metro Center station and head east as you exit the station . At the F and 12th St. intersection take a right hand turn heading south on 12th Street. When you reach Pennsylvania Ave, turn left towards 11th street. 1101 Pennsylvania Ave is the Evening Star building ahead.

Walking from Federal Triangle:
Head towards the central circle as as you exit the station. At the center, take a right hand turn heading north towards Pennsylvania Ave. When you reach Pennsylvania Ave, turn right towards 12th street. 1101 Pennsylvania Ave is diagonally opposite in the Evening Star building on the right.

Driving/Parking
The International Institute for Learning-Washington, D.C., is located in a heavily congested part of the city, and arriving by private car is not recommended. Limited, metered street parking is available for two hours at a time; however there is no street parking allowed between 7:00-9:30 a.m. and from 4:00-6:30 p.m. The closest parking garage (PMI and Landmark Garages) is on 11th Street between Pennsylvania Ave and E Street (half a block north of the Foundation Center). There are also parking garages on 11th Street, north of E street (expect to pay between $10-$20 for the day).

• From points to the south
  Take I-95 North to I-395 North. Exit at 12th Street. Turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue. The building is on the left, on the corner of 11th and Pennsylvania.
  
• From points to the north
  Take I-270 South to I-495 East then take the MD185/Connecticut Avenue exit, keeping right at the fork. Take Connecticut Avenue off the next roundabout. Turn Left on K Street and then right on 11th Street. The building is on the left, on the corner of 11th and Pennsylvania. Parking is available in the garage on 11th Street.
  
• From Route 50 Maryland (Prince George's County)
  Route 50 turns into New York Avenue in the District. Follow New York Avenue to 7th Street (at Mt. Vernon Square); turn left on 7th Street and then take the first right to get back to New York Avenue. Continue on New York Avenue to 11th Street; turn left on 11th Street. 1101 Pennsylvania Ave will be on your right as you come to Pennsylvania Ave.
  
• From West (Virginia/66)
  Take 66 East over the Roosevelt Bridge. Continue on to Constitution Avenue. Turn Left onto 12th Street. Get in the left-hand lane and take the exit for E Street. Turn right onto Pennsylvania Ave. 1101 Pennsylvania Ave will be on your left as you turn on to Pennsylvania Avenue.
  
• From Virginia/Route 50
  Take Route 50 over the Roosevelt Bridge. Follow directions from above.
  
• From Virginia/GW Parkway
  Take the GW Parkway East over Roosevelt Bridge. Follow directions from above.
  

Airport

• Regan National Airport is 4 miles south off of Highway 1
• Washington Dulles is 23 miles west off the Hwy 66 and the Dulles Toll Road.
