Role-Based Enterprise Project Management 2007 Courses

Is your organization preparing to implement Microsoft® Office Project Server 2007 as an enterprise management tool?

These role-based EPM courses are ideal for preparing organizations and personnel to use the Project Server environment in a manner that is consistent with their role and responsibilities within your organization. As you deploy the EPM environment, this training can be conducted in parallel with the implementation phases, enabling you to train new users and increase functionality over time.

Microsoft® EPM 2007 for Project Managers

This course is designed to offer project managers the information they need to effectively manage projects in Microsoft Office Project Server. Project managers will work with the Enterprise Resource Pool to staff their projects, they will work with team members and resource managers to fine tune resource assignments. Participants will become familiar with Project Web Access and its collaborative features for managing project documents, risks, issues, and for receiving task updates from resources. New initiatives such as proposals, activity plans and resource plans will also be illustrated in Project Web Access. Project managers will learn how to perform ongoing management on single or multiple projects using online views and Data Analysis tables and charts.

 
Microsoft® EPM 2007 for Team Members

This course is designed to introduce the Enterprise Project Management solution to project team members and show them how to directly interact with Project Web Access. Attendees will configure personal settings and use Project Web Access to report hours worked by using timesheets and report task progress by using task updates.

 

Microsoft® EPM 2007 for Resource Managers

This course is intended to cover the necessary elements for effective Resource Management in both Project Web Access and Microsoft Office Project. Participants learn how to create and maintain resources, and assign them to projects using both generic and actual resources from the Enterprise Resource Pool. Participants will learn how to receive timesheets submitted by team members and how to approve project and administrative time. This course explores the resource capacity model and uses Data Analysis views to analyze resource allocation and recommend changes to enterprise resources. This course can be tailored to match the role and responsibilities of a Resource Manager in your organization.

 
Microsoft® EPM 2007 for Executives

This course is designed to offer business and PMO executives information they need to effectively support the adoption of the Microsoft EPM Solution within their organization and to view, analyze and respond to project, program and portfolio health indicators and reports using Microsoft Project Web Access.
