INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR LEARNING SUPPORTS THE UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT
We are committed to making the global compact and its principles part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of our company, and to engaging in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the UN, particularly the Millennium Development Goals.
We plan to undertake the following key practical actions in order to implement the Global Compact principles:
- Develop and publish within IIL a sustainability policy framework that reflects the ten principles of the Global Compact with respect to human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.
- Focus on activities in the context of Millennium Development Goal (MDG) #7: creating literacy, awareness and sensitivity to Ensure Environmental Sustainability
COMMUNICATION ON PROGRESS
We recognize that a key requirement for participation in the Global Compact is the annual submission of a Communication on Progress (COP) that describes our company’s efforts to implement the ten principles.
We support public accountability and transparency, and therefore created our report on progress (Sustainability Report). Our inaugural bi-annual Sustainability Report covers activities and business practice for 2014-1015 and can be downloaded here…
