Kyle’s presentation will focus on the PMI Project of the Year award. Kyle will discuss the submission process for the PMI award, the awards night, as well as how the program was managed from a PMO perspective. This will include how the project team conducted stakeholder management, risk and change management, and project scheduling and execution.

About Kyle Woolington

Kyle Woolington has worked in project and program management for 19 years at Caterpillar. Kyle has led projects as a Six Sigma Black Belt, as well as leading and guiding teams through the project life cycle in multiple areas of Caterpillar including New Project Introduction, facility start-up projects, quality/continuous improvement, legal and multiple other areas. Kyle teaches several internal courses at Caterpillar, from basic project management to meeting facilitation training. Kyle currently manages a global team across 5 locations worldwide, ranging from Illinois to Arizona to Australia. This team is part of the largest PMO within Caterpillar, which employs over 250 project professionals globally. Kyle’s team helps manage the largest scoped projects, tied directly to Caterpillar’s executive strategy, including the battery electric program that won the 2023 PMI Project of the Year award.
