For waterfall projects, we have A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). Agile projects are not as prescriptive, so you might be wondering:

The Agile Manifesto states that we value “individuals and interaction over processes and tools” and Principle 10 says, “Simplicity--the art of maximizing the amount of work not done--is essential.” As a result, I was told there are no processes, checklists or tools – to just be Agile.

My 25 plus years of consulting with over 200 clients worldwide told me “that dog won’t hunt.” In other words, that just isn’t going to work!
